The Tsawwassen Mills LED Jobsite
Tsawwassen Mills is a 1.2 million square feet premium outlet shopping destination just outside of Vancouver, Canada. It was built by Ledcor Group, who chose to use LED Jobsite temporary LED construction lights during the build. Compared to traditional bulb-based lighting, this project:
Ledcor chose to pursue the LED Jobsite from Lind Equipment for this project to reduce the electricity usage and maintenance associated with bulb-based metal halide temporary high-bays lights. Especially at the beginning of the project, when the site was powered by generators, the LED Jobsite was looked to as a great way to reduce electrical consumption and costs. Additionally, since the electrical supply was subject to disruptions, the instant start and re-start capability of the LED Jobsite lights allowed the workers to continue their work with limited down-time. The project was completed in October 2016.
In a continuing effort by Ledcor to incorporate sustainable practices into all aspects of the building, they adopted the LED Jobsite during the construction phase. The LED Jobsite replaces all traditional bulb-based temporary construction lighting with state-of-the-art purpose built LED lights. From the crane lights to the sidewalk hoarding lighting, the LED Jobsite will save energy, reduce CO2 emissions, and reduce waste.
