The GE Brilliant Factory, a $165 million facility built by PCL Builders, was an LED Jobsite, where the temporary construction lights were state-of-the-art purpose built LED lights.  Compared to traditional bulb-based lighting, this PCL Builders project:

This first–of-its-kind facility in Canada will combine decades of experience building innovative industrial machines with cutting-edge data science and analytics expertise to enhance efficiency and streamline production.  The facility will initially manufacture GE Power’s reciprocating gas engines, components for compression, mechanical drive, and power generation, and manufacture components for GE transportation diesel engines. The multi-modal design enables future production expansion for other GE global businesses including Power, Oil & Gas, and Transportation.

In a continuing effort by PCL Builders to incorporate sustainable practices into all aspects of the building, the GE Brilliant Factory project adopted the LED Jobsite during the construction phase. The LED Jobsite replaces all traditional bulb-based temporary construction lighting with state-of-the-art purpose built LED lights. From the crane lights to the sidewalk hoarding lighting, the LED Jobsite will save energy, reduce CO2 emissions, and reduce waste.
